"La Catrina" as a concept used by both Jose Guadalupe Posada and Diego Rivera symbolizes the wealthy who drink the blood of the poor, though Rivera's use of her as a centerpiece in the epic mural "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park" depicts a menacing and foreboding image, Posada's playful image satirizes the phenomenon of Giant Hats and Ostrich feathers which was all the rage at the turn of the 20th century.

I believe sharing our culture increases its chance of survival.

I’m not here as a businessman, but an artist sharing his culture and gift with the world.
